Before the class begins, please take some time to familiarize yourselves with what the 6R technique:
What is 6R? The 6R technique is as follows: when the practice of meditation is interrupted by thoughts,
RECOGNIZE: Recognize any thoughts that hinder the meditation.
RELEASE: Let go of attention to that thought, stop thinking about it.
RELAX: Relax the body and mind, letting go of any tension. In fact, thoughts rooted in desire can make your mind tense.
RE-SMILE: Bring that smile back to your lips.
RETURN: Return to the practice, forgive yourself or anyone who arises. Maintain as much tolerance as possible for an extended period.
